Climate change, climate protection, climate policy - terms we hear again and again. Behind these are complex social structures, which are sometimes difficult to understand. In addition, there is always a lack of exchange between the various actors from politics, business, science, civil society organisations and young activists. Last but not least, the COVID-19 pandemic gave a further impetus to rethink our ways of life and our economic activities.
This is where we want to start with our LCOY online 2020 on 14.11. and bring light into the dark. We question and discuss how a rethinking of our lifestyles and our economic activities can take place. And we are thinking about what a fair, climate-friendly and inclusive future could look like. In various workshops and a panel discussion, we will discuss in detail the possibilities and limits of climate policy. Whether with or without previous knowledge, our diverse programme has something for everyone.
The programme is divided into four main themes: Economy, Politics, Society and Science. There will be workshops that require registration as well as an all-day livestream on our YouTube channel.
Unfortunately, the conference language this year will be German throughout - but at LCOY 2021 we want to make it possible for more people from all over the world to participate and have English as the conference language in addition to German.
The programme and the registration form can be found on the German site.
